What artists are saying about Artistic Director, Stacy Donovan, and Improbable Stage:

Read a blog about our workshops, by Catherine Restivo, The Power of Human Touch

"I have taken only one workshop and it was on a whim. I am in my sixth decade and have been acting for a long time. The idea of this company and the workshop sounded intriguing to me and I decided to attend - figuring I would probably be the oldest person there. Perhaps I was the oldest but that didn't matter. At all. What mattered - beautifully expressed by the Artistic Director, Stacy Donovan - was that we were there to open our hearts and imaginations to what first inspired us to act. To take a leap (sometimes a literal leap!) and play and react and listen. There was no judgment only encouragement to open oneself, to trust, and to explore. I had a marvelous time and did, in fact, feel that I had reconnected to the source of being a Player, an Actor. For that I will be forever grateful. I have been working and unable to attend another workshop but will do so soon. I hope that the Improbable Stage Company will continue to thrive and offer these workshops...they are a real gift!"

~ Joyce Cohen

"In an industry full of stereotypes, pressure and expectations, Stacy is remarkably open and supportive in her approach to the development of an actor's skills and talent, which leads to the unique and fresh theatrical experiences created by her company."  ~ Darren Katz

"Stacy encourages all her students while pushing them past their own limitations. Workshops are fun, engaging, and a wonderful learning experience."  ~ Briana Gibson

“Stacy Donovan is much more than a director. She is a muse; a conduit for creation. Stacy invites and fosters such a depth of openness, a tenacity of freedom, a willing bravery, that to work with her is to work with ones best self. Under Stacy's guidance I have discovered the artist and the human being I know I can be.”
